In addition to the Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! - The Tattoo Factory Gallery (4443 N. Broadway)
will be holding an art reception with paintings of Tura by artists from around the globe.  The
show is called,”Tura! Tura! Tura!.” The reception will be held on Thursday, October 30 from
7pm - 11pm. 20% of all sales from the paintings will go to charity.

ABOUT TURA SATANA:
Tura started exotic dancing at the age of 13. She became a burlesque sensation earning the
title Miss Japan Beautiful. From there her talents lead her to guest appearances on many top
television shows of the 60’s including Hawaiian Eye, Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Burkes Law. Movie
roles followed in Our Man Flint, Irma la Douce and The Astro Zombies, but her greatest cinematic superstar achievement was as Varla, the leader of 3 thrill seeking strippers in Russ Meyer’s
legendary masterpiece,”Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!”

Rob Zombie has completed work on the long-delayed WHITE ZOMBIE box set. In a posting on his MySpace page, he writes, “Well, I am now holding the finished newly master WHITE ZOMBIE box set in my hands. Yes, it is done! A long time coming but it is here. I’m not sure what the release day is yet, but it shouldn’t be much longer. I’m pretty you’ll be getting under your Christmas tree. All I can say is boy the early shit is whacked. I haven’t heard some of these songs in over twenty years. I don’t know what the hell we were thinking. Everything is including on this set. Over 4 and 1/2 hours of music plus tons of never before seen videos. Five discs in all.”

Rob Zombie recently spent time in the studio working on material for his next studio album. Zombie wrote in a May 2008 online posting, “Well, we have for the first time ever written more songs than we need for an album. Everything isn’t 100% finished, but everything is moving along great.”
